Erie should now have three breweries by autumn, with The Old Mine Brewing Co. being the latest to announce a plan to open a brewpub on Briggs Street.
The Old Mine joins Industrial Revolution Brewing Co. and Echo Brewing Co., both of which intend to swing open their doors to the drinking public in September and October, respectively.
Operating from the old mercantile building in Historic Downtown Erie, at 500 Briggs St., The Old Mine will feature in-house hard cider and craft-brewed beer.
The Old Mine is the brainchild of brewer Mike Yeager and Erie businessman John Jacquat. They hope to open no later than November.
