From Boxing Cat:

The Barnburner Belgian Farmhouse Ale was aged for 6 months in wine barrels and has sourness from yeast Brettanomyces bruxellensis. It's the first Belgian-style sour beer produced in all of China and you have the opportunity to try it at both of our shops at the moment. Limited edition.

A COLLAB WITH A DIFFERENCE

The SvJ Title Fight Ale in collaboration with Jen Hirsch and Scott Wang

Back in May at the kick-off Brew Cruise for Shanghai Beer Week, BCB Brewmaster Michael Jordan was auctioned off to the highest bidder for a whopping 4300RMB in a charity auction where all proceeds went to BEAN Shanghai for the purpose of building a new library for migrant kids. The highest bidders Jen Hirsch & Scott Wang won the opportunity to brew a customised beer with Michael; they decided on the style, flavour profile and the name themselves. Basically a fully personalised designer beer brewed to perfection!

The lucky winners - Jen Hirsch and Scott Wang came up with a unique and exciting beer which they have named the SvJ Titlefight Ale. It is 8.8% ABV and has notes of peach, ginger and light cucumber. Dangerously drinkable. Keep an eye out for this one, pouring mid-August.
