Pelican Listed in Top 10 Microbreweries/Brewpubs on the West Coast
The Guardian News UK has named the Pelican Pub & Brewery one of the top 10 Microbreweries/Brewpubs on the West Coast. Beer writer Ben McFarland noted that the Pelican is “perched right on the beach and a multiple-medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival, is a stunning place to sit, with your feet in the sand, and sip a sprightly Saison du Pelican or Stormwatcher – a smoldering soul-stoking barley wine with touches of tobacco, cinnamon and smoke”. Australian International Beer Awards 2013
The 21st Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA), presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Australia, has announced the 2013 awards. The AIBA is the pre-eminent celebration of beer and brewing excellence in the Asia Pacific region. We are proud to announce that the Pelican Brewery was awarded the following medals:

1,490 beers from a range of styles were presented by 277 breweries from 35 countries and were judged by a panel of international judges. The level of competition and the number of entries continues to grow with each year’s event, so we are pleased and proud that so many Pelican beers continue to be recognized for their quality and consistency.
Pelican Adds Chris Lacey to its Team
We are excited to announce that Chris Lacey has been hired as Director of Sales and Marketing for Pelican Brewing Co. Director of Sales and Marketing is a new position for our company and is an important role needed to help us grow the Pelican brand as we open the new Production Brewery in Tillamook. Chris was most recently the Director of Sales for Rogue Ales and was instrumental in the growth of the Rogue brand over the past 5-1/2 years.
