Left Hand Completing $9 Million Expansion, Closing on 50K Barrels

imageIf I’m not posting news about new breweries opening, I’m posting stories of growth and expansion for existing breweries.  Details on Left Hand Brewing’s recent expansion from the Longmont Times-Call:

Left Hand Brewing Co. sold 49,549 barrels its Sawtooth, Black Jack Porter and other beers during the year, a 341/2 percent increase over 2011. Gross revenue was up a little more than 41 percent, Left Hand president Eric Wallace said.

The company is wrapping up the final portion of the third phase of a $9 million expansion it began at its Boston Avenue brewery back in 2008. This year the company added two 480-barrel fermenters and a 500-barrel brite tank, as well as a new 6,000-square-foot cooler in its corporate headquarters building on the north side of Boston.
