Looks like our pal Matson Davis is expanding is mainland territory even more with the addition of Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, and Ohio. This from Kona:
(Kailua-Kona, HI--3 Dec 2012/mbb/) – Kona Brewing Company has announced it will begin distributing its portfolio of craft beers to five additional markets in the Midwest throughout January and February of 2013. The five new states where Liquid Aloha will now be available on tap and on the shelves are: Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, and Ohio. With the expanded distribution, Kona beers will now be available in 35 states.
In addition to bars and restaurants with craft beer offerings throughout the Midwest, consumers will be able to find Kona’s Liquid Aloha in specialty beer shops, liquor stores and regional grocery store chains. Kona Brewing’s flagship Longboard Island Lager will be available in bottles and on draught year-round. In addition to Kona’s other year-round offerings, Big Wave Golden Ale and Fire Rock Pale Ale and Kona’s full seasonal line up of Aloha Series beers will also be available beginning with the spring seasonal in the series, Koko Brown Ale.
“This is a bit of uncharted territory for us but we are genuinely stoked to be bringing Liquid Aloha to the many craft beer lovers in our country’s interior,” said Kona Brewing company president Mattson Davis. “We appreciate the love for ohana (family) that Midwesterners have. In Hawaii we have similar values of family and friendship and we look forward to finally sharing some warmth and a taste of Hawaii with more of our fans, especially during these cold winter months in the Midwest.”
