Cascade Brewing - Live Cherry Bourbonic Plague (Video)

From Cascade Brewing:

Hi friends! Hope you had a fantastic holiday with family and friends. It's back to business as usual for Cascade, although we did bring in some of the brewing staff yesterday to tap a rare barrel of Cherry Bourbonic Plague (video is online, check out the live barrel tapping here).

As our gift to you, this will be pouring until it runs dry at the Barrel House. Cherry Bourbonic Plague is a 19-month-old Bourbonic Plague aged an additional five months on 150 lbs of sour pie cherries. Huge aromas of dark cherries, Bourbon and spices greet you up front. Big, rich, dark cherries, dates, oak, leather and tobacco dance on the palate. Deep cherry notes, dark fruits and a warming Bourbon flavor finish this off as only the Bourbonic can. At 12% ABV, bring a designated driver! Sells for $8/glass or $3/taster.

Vlad the Imp Aler
is aging nicely in bottles and we are looking for a late January/early February release - you'll know more when we do. Vlad will be sold online! Currently available, we have Apricot, Kriek, Noyeaux and Blueberry; you can order beer
here.

Currently on the Blenders Reserve Taps, which feature rare, limited beers from the blenders cellar, we have Vintage '10 Helga the Hammered,
Counter Culture Double IPA, Darkest Day (CDA), Cerise Nouveau, Kriek and Elderberry.

This year's batch of Glueh Kriek is amazing, perhaps the best ever. If you're looking for something to warm you up, give this a try. Glueh Kriek is an oak aged blend of Bing and sour pie cherry sour red ales that have been steeped in spices fresh from Grenada and wild flower honey. It's served warm with a clove spiked orange slice. The perfect drink to toast the New Year!
