VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire/mbb/ - Oct. 1, 2012) - B.C.'s second annual Craft Beer Month kicks off today, with thousands of craft beer lovers and more than 64 breweries in the Province reveling in the recent craft beer explosion. This month for the first time in bottles, Steamworks Brewing Company will also release their seasonal Pumpkin Ale, available at liquor stores across the province.

For over 15 years Steamworks' legendary Pumpkin Ale has been a brewpub classic. Brewed with spices and one hundred pounds of locally grown pumpkins, Steamworks' Pumpkin Ale is a smooth, malty, spiced ale with hints of cinnamon bark, nutmeg, cloves and fresh ginger - a mash-up that taste a bit like pumpkin pie. Starting October 4th, Steamworks Pumpkin Ale will be available for purchase in 650 mL bottles that have labels uniquely designed to glow in the dark. With BC craft beer fans taking the month of October to savour some of their favorite brews, this one is sure to be a sell-out.

Walter Cosman, President of Steamworks Brewing Company, shares, "Our Pumpkin Ale is hands down the most popular seasonal brew we offer. We are excited to play a more active role in BC Craft Beer month now that we have our bottles and kegs available throughout the province."

Steamworks' Pumpkin Ale can also be enjoyed on tap at Steamworks Brewpub or purchased in 650 mL bottles at beer and wine and liquor stores across the lower mainland and B.C., while quantities last.

Adding to the excitement, Steamworks Brewing Company will also be hosting a Brewmaster's Dinner on October 24th to showcase their latest line of craft beers. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased at http://www.steamworks.com/brewery for $40.

Named after the steam that flows through and powers its brewery, Steamworks' craft beers features distinct, flavourful and award-winning brews. Follow on twitter @steamworksbeer.
