Also from the Coloradoan comes a great story on Nine Fort Collins CO brewers from C.B. & Potts, CooperSmith's, Crooked Stave, Equinox Brewing, Fort Collins Brewery, Funkwerks, New Belgium Brewing Co., Odell Brewing Co. and Pateros Creek brewing a co-brew for American Craft beer Week.
This year the aim is to keep the beer as local as possible by only using Colorado ingredients, said Colin Westcott, owner of Equinox Brewing. The rough sketch of the recipe thus far includes honey from Wellington, Colorado grown hops, locally grown unmalted spelt and some snow from the high country.
Thee beer will again be released in each respective brewery on May 14 to coincide with American Craft Beer Week. Westcott said they also plan to have a toast at C.B. & Potts
