According to USA Today’s Super Bowl Admeter, the favorite commercials for last night’s Super Bowl broadcast were Dorito’s Man’s Best Friend & Dorito’s Sling Baby…in a two way tie with a ranking of 4.38. That left beer & cars fighting for 3rd place with Bud Light Weego the dog taking the top beer honor with a 4.37 rating. Weego is sort of an energetic party bartender-dog in the mold of Spuds McKenzie. I think the real winner here is actually dogs, but it’s interesting none the less. It’s also worth noting that the next beer commercial in the ranking was actually Budweiser’s Prohibition/Clydesdales spot which came in 23rd and Budweiser’s Eternal Optimism commercial that was ranked 31st. With all the hoopla surrounding Bud Light Platinum, even I was surprised to see their 2 spots only ranked 50th & 53rd out of 54! Woof…
