Details coming out of the Chicago Tribune….

Beer lovers have been clamoring for release dates on the two latest entries in the Goose Island Bourbon County stout series, and we finally have them. Sort of.

Cases of 2011 Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout — a stout brewed with Intelligentsia coffee and aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels — started leaving the brewery late Monday, which means drinkers can expect them on Chicago-area shelves Thursday or Friday, I'm told. Interest will be fierce, so to make yourself and your favorite beer store less agitated, I suggest calling first.

As for the other BCS beer —
Bramble Rye, a stout aged in Heaven Hill rye whiskey barrels with raspberries and blackberries — still no word on a release date, but sometime in February remains the estimate. More information will be provided here when we get it. Also coming about the same time will be the 2011 vintage of regular Bourbon County Brand Stout, which will be released in four-packs (the others come in 22 ounce bottles).
