WILK Friday BeerBuzz–10 June 2011 (Breaker Brewing Co 5 Whistle Wheat)

WILKFridayBerbuzz7_thumb2I’m a firm believer that if you love what you do, that love comes out in the product.  I’m also a firm believer that if you work hard AND lover what you do, success will follow.  On today’s show we brought you an example of both.

BreakerNewferment_thumb5Chris Miller and Mark Lehman, brewmasters for Breaker Brewing Co not only have a love for brewing great craft beer, but they are two of the hardest working young men I know…and I can personally attest that their love comes out in the beer, and their work ethic has continued leading them to success.

imageToday we sampled their 5-Whistle Wheat.  This is a brand new beer from Mark & Chris and the color, flavor and 4.9% ABV drinkability are wonderful.  See for yourself and be sure to sample for yourself.  This beer is bound to be a summertime favorite.

I was also excited to break the news today about the Breaker Brewing Co  purchase of the former St Josephs Monastery on Northampton St in Wilkes-Barre . It was fun to talk to Mark & Chris about their future plans for the property and I can’t wait to watch it develop.  You can catch up on the story here, here or here…but as always be sure to stay tuned to mybeerbuzz.com and breakerbrewingcompany.com for the latest details…

Thanks

to  Mark, Chris, Nancy, John, Joe, and Bosco for yet another fun Friday.

Nobody deserves the success Mark and Chris have enjoyed more than Mark and Chris! Long hours, hard work, ingenuity, persistence, determination all in the pursuit of their passion, making great beer!

The 5 Whistle is the quintessential summer beer and the hop update on I Love PA is huge! Great beers!

Continued success and best of luck to Breaker Brewing.

Also thanks to Bill from MyBeerBuzz.com for another great show.

And as always, thank you to everyone who listens to the FBB on WILK and who visits here!

  13. I have to say I'm impressed eith the quality of the guests you get on WILK. I've been listening since your Xmas show and consider myself a beer expert. I was a little wary of the show at first, but you've had some top shelf brewers on the show over the last few months. Keep up the good work. This is by far the best beer show and now just in the local NEPA area.

    Cheers
    Karl

  14. Thanks Karl...and thanks to everyone else for your comments. I'll be heading away from the computer and cell phone in a few minutes so thank you all in advance for your comments. If they don't get too loaded with spam I'll try to post later....and yes because of our traffic levels on mybeerbuzz.com we get bombarded every day with spam comments....

Thank you everyone and have a good weekend...
