Looks like today’s approval may confirm the upcoming fall release of Stegmaier Pumpkin Ale from our friends at Lion Brewery. We showed off the Bottle packaging back in May, so today’s keg packaging confirms we’re likely to see a seasonal release. It’s also worth noting that Stegmaier also received keg approval today for Summer Stock, Oktoberfest, Porter, Winter Warmer, Pale Ale, IPA, Belgian White, Gold and Amber Lager.
What about the promised liebotschaner cream ale and the excellent porter that has been around for, oh, 150 years?
ReplyDeleteI wish I had an update on Liebotschaner Anon but the last I heard it was still on hold. Very tricky beer market right now. Steg Porter is of course out there but I assume you're asking about the lod licorice variety?
ReplyDeleteNope, asking about the porter they have not brewed it in over a year and it now says "limited release" on the website. Not even a seasonal. It is starting to disappear from my distributors. Wiht their unfortunate history of killing beers I am hoping sanity prevails.
ReplyDeleteI haven't see the new 12oz bottle packaging show up for Stegmaier Porter so far, but they did just get keg aproval for Steg Porter. I just saw a case 15-mins ago up our way. What area are you in?
ReplyDeleteWell that's something anyway. Draft is better than nothing.

I know SEPA has had an odd lack of Steg products...not sure why. I'll keep my eye out for the bottle packaging but so far it's keg only.
