Here’s our 2nd New Belgium Brewing Lips of Faith release in the last day or two. We bought you the keg approval for Clutch yesterday, and today we have the bottle packaging for Kick and Clutch. Kick is an 8.5% ABV 22oz bottle co-brewed with Dick Cantwell from Elysian Brewing & Kim Jordan from New Belgium. This is New Belgium’s first pumpkin ale and it looks like Dick is the go-to-guy for pumpkin beers…here’s our story from yesterday for the Stone/Elysian/Bruery pumpkin collaboration ale). Label text: “We get a kick out of collaborating. Harvesting the creativity of Kim Jordan of New Belgium & Dick Cantwell of Elysian produced this ruby-hued, slightly sour, pumpkin, cranberry ale. It’s a treat that does the trick. newbelgium.com”
Clutch appears to be an ale brewed for the band Clutch…from the label: ”Pure rock fury meets Belgian-style brewed folly in this collaboration with Maryland hard-rockers, Clutch. A pronounced bass line of dark chocolate, coffee and black malts bridge the sourness of our dark wood ale for a fluid riff. newbelgium.com”
As a bonus, here’s the 22oz Trippel packaging and keg approval for New Belgium Down Under IPA ale brewed with passion fruit juice….and the interesting part is that it is listed as “Brewed in Seattle, Washington.”
