Shiner 102–Double Wheat Anniversary Ale

Shoner102Spoetzel Brewery in Shiner Tx releases an anniversary beer every year, designated by their anniversary year.  I was lucky enough to try the 100 a few years ago and it was very tasty.  This year they are releasing Shiner 102 Double Wheat.  The keg packaging was approved a few days ago and here’s the 12oz 6.2% ABV packaging.  This is a “special recipe that sits between a bright wheat beer and wheat wine ale.”  This will be a slightly sweet filtered wheat using Czech Saaz and Washington state Golding hops so it should be interesting.  Look for the bottle release to come in Feb 2011.

    look forward to this in Iowa. Blonde is just becoming available in Iowa, guess we asked for it enough times to get them moving.
