I always like being the first to bring you news of a brand new beer.  So today I’m excited to show you the brand new Bridgeport Brewery Café Negro Coffee Infused Porter (approved a few minutes ago).  There are very few details available so far, but this 5.5% ABV Porter will be in 12oz bottles and be based on the original Bridgeport Porter.  “Café Negro is a rich malty porter accented with the bold flavor of freshly roasted coffee.  Two of the northwest’s most cherished nectars conveniently bottled under one cap.”

    Bridgeport Brewing Company--CAFE' NEGRO Coffee Infused Porter--Embrace your Dark Side--2010 12 oz. Bottle. 5.50% ABV. 25 IBU's? (4.0 / 5.0) Lacy lasting big mocha head. Sediment. Opaque obsdian black color. Mild hop dark roast coffee front. Dry sweet unbitter burnt dark malt light crusty coffee no fruit rich thin textured body. Dry mild hop crisp refreshing Porter end. Very drinkable. Sampled 12/20/2010. Purchased 6-Pack for $6.99 at Fred Meyer--Ballard, Seattle when first sighted on 12/20/2010.

    Thanks Phil. We always manage to try more than a few Bridgeport beers when we hit Spokane every year. Can't wait to try this one too.
