Here’s an interesting 1/2-barrel label out of Sierra Nevada that I’m still chasing down details for. This label was approved on Friday and features a 5.4% ABV beer called EWE-96 Dark Lager. Stay tuned for more details to follow.
I was a part of Beer Camp 38 when this was made. Here's the blurb SN created: "This black lager proves that beer cannot be judged by appearance alone. At first glance, the beer looks dark and heavy, but by contrast, it has more in common with a crisp and lightly hoppy German-style pilsner than a rich English Stout. Hop forward in aroma, this beer transitions briefly into a lightly smoky and roasted flavor that quickly gives way to a crisp and hoppy finish." This beer was "Torpedoed" with two types of hops.
