In case you haven’t caught on yet, this is the weekly teaser for the WILK Friday Beerbuzz show…and here’s how it goes. I talk a little about last weeks show, and tease this coming week’s show with a little hint about what the beer we’ll be sampling this week…so here we go.
Our beer last week was a bit of a curve ball or as Joe Snedeker would say it was a real “back door cold front” of a beverage choice. It would have been easy to line up a light, easy-drinking summer beer for last week, but with Memorial Day upon us I decided a big weekend deserves a big beer. I chose Brewery Ommegang Three Philosophers and nothing says big like a 9.8% Belgian Quad blended with Kreik Lambic.
The show was fun and I’ll admit I’m starting to get slightly more comfortable doing it. Of course it helped that everyone seemed to be pre-Memorial-Day-Three-Day-Weekend happy, but I think the big beer worked out….almost to the point that Joe Thomas was ready to sing, “I like Big Beers and I cannot lie…”
So what’s up for this Friday you may ask…well lets just say a beer that I believe listeners and readers will not only be happy they tried, BUT a beer that will find it’s way back into your ‘fridge again and again. Hint: This beer is a personal favorite of mine and actually has the name of the place from whence it comes in the name of the brew.
Tune in this Friday (6/4/2010) at 8:30AM on WILK (103.1FM or wilknewsradio.com) and see what beer it is!

I know I say this with ALL of the beers John...but I think you're going to really like this one.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like it is Reading premium beer, Utica club beer, Dubois export or Altoona curve beer.

ReplyDeletemaybe you don't want to post it since I got it right :)
ReplyDeleteCorrect Josh...OR I could just be buying you a beer out of the goodness of my heart too ;)
ReplyDeleteSWEET so I get 2 beers!
ReplyDeleteI know you and I have discussed this beverage in the past and I'm not sure how the math added up to two beers...but I'm feeling generous so...sure I'll buy you a beer maybe even two.
