Lion Brewery – Stegmaier IPA & Pale Ale

StegIPAcMar2010 I know everyone has been excited to try out the new Stegmaier IPA and Pale Ale…well I’ve got some good news.  The guys at Lion tell me the new Stegmaier variety pack, which contains Stegmaier IPA, Stegmaier Pale Ale, Stegmaier White and Stegmaier Amber is being packaged now and will be reaching the distributors on May 10th.  I’m not sure exactly when it will be available to the public, but it should be shortly thereafter.

Good news, I'll get out and buy one. Not too thrilled about the white but I'll give it a try.

  3. MBB, is the amber being brewed to the Steg 150 recipe this time around? I sure hope so!

  4. I'm not sure Sam. For some reason I think it's a new recipe but I'll let the guys reply directly to be sure.

  5. Are regular cases of the IPA and Pale Ale hitting at the same time as the variety cases? I understand the reasons for variety cases, but I don't have any interest in buying one.

  7. Josh...so far I'm only hearing variety cases and no dedicated IPA cases. I'll know more in the next few days.

  9. I was told that all would be available in straight cases, too! Not sure if that's from the get-go, though.

  10. I'll ask the guys what the plan for packaging is in the future.

  11. This would have been the perfect opportunity to promote the wonderful stegmaier porter, and make it a true "mixed pack" by adding more diversity-- i.e. a dark beer.

  12. You never know Anon...variety packs DO change all the time...perhaps IPA, Pale, Porter and Holiday Warmer in the future ;)

  13. To answer a few questions....the Amber is the original 150 recipe and in the next run of IPA and Pale they will be available in full cases AND I'm enjoying one of each as I type and I like them both....very tasty beers...congrats to Lion.
