No price increases for Weyerbacher in 2009! (1/2/09)Happy New Year Beer Fans! Though our costs for Hops and Malt have not decreased we have experienced increasing costs in cardboard and glass, all packaging went up in '08 as a matter of fact. However, due to our increase in the volume of business we are able to hold the line on prices for 2009. No increases whatsoever for any of our beer prices. We hope this starts your new year off right. Cheers!
Starts my year off well, indeed!
ReplyDeleteAre they going to reduce their overly inflated prices of 2008?
ReplyDelete$160 for a sixtel of Double Simcoe = ridiculous.
Large quantites of Simcoe x 2 + no long term hop contracts = expensive.
ReplyDeleteHaving seen the costs of hops presented by the Hop Union @ the Nov MBAA meeting, I definitely understand why the DOuble-Simcoe prices are what they are. Given that their same hop contracts are in place, I'd say it's prbably not going down.
I actually believe Dan Wierback when he says they're not profitting any more on Simcoe now than they were when it was originally created.
They are still the highest-priced PA micro regardless of reason, so this is indeed good news and will bring them somewhat closer to parity with their competition.
