Gotta say no thanks to this one, particularly for this line...
"A Cicerone is a tested and proven expert in beer while beer sommelier is a self-designation that can be adopted by anyone."
They pretty much set up this certification and call themselves expert enough to judge whether others worthy of their own made-up title, and they get people to pay for the privilege? Beer needs more fans than experts.

ReplyDeleteI'd rather have "Level 38 Human Paladin" on my resume. That at least means something (granted, in a very limited context, but still).
