Today I have your first look at a new variant coming from New Belgium brewing in Fort Collins, CO and Asheville, NC. This is Oakspire Old Fashioned Bourbon Barrel Ale and it will be a special release of Oakspire that celebrates the iconic Old Fashioned. This cocktail-inspired amber ale is matured on “Bourbon barrel char and toasted oak spirals before adding orange, cherry and a touch of bitter flavoring.” This variant will roll in at 9%-AbV and you’re looking at the 12oz bottle. Stay tuned for release timing.
