For the first time in 12 years Cricket Hill has recalled 200 cases of Hopnotic IPA because of a carbonation problem.

With our most sincere apologies we are having the problem cases replaced this week with fresh new well carbonated cases.  If you purchased one of these crazy 6 packs please return them to the store or call us to make an exchange or to make good on your purchase.

We are so sorry but hope you will understand and realize that things like this can happen to little breweries like Cricket Hill!

Cricket Hill First Non-Reinheitsgebot Beer - Pumpkin Ale Coming Soon

13 July 2013

image
From Cricket Hill:

For 12 years Cricket Hill Beers have been brewed with purity in mind. All Cricket Hill Beers have adhered to the Reinheitsgebot with the exception of the constant addition of that 5th ingredient: PASSION.

Well, after all these years Cricket Hill is making a seasonal Pumpkin Ale! There goes the perfect record--but it will be worth it absolutely!

Our Pumpkin Ale is: A classic session-style ale, brewed with select malts, pumpkin, Simcoe and Williamette hops, and a pumpkin-pie blend of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and nutmeg. Well-balanced, with a light amber color, and smooth finish to enjoy during the cool harvest season. ABV = 5.0, IBU = 19.5

Cricket Hill Cascade Brown & Jersey Red Devil Coming Soon (New Head Brewer)

15 January 2013

imageFrom Cricket Hill Brewing:

Our Smoked Rye has been a big success! Last month I mentioned that it was the next release of our Small Batch series and it went quickly. If you see it on tap grab a pint while you still can! Next up is our Cascade Brown Ale followed quickly by our Jersey Devil Red Ale! These beers are available in draft only and are the first two beers of the 2013 season.

The Cascade Brown Ale provides both a roasted warmth and a citrusy refreshment, ideal for the transition out of the fall and deep into the Winter! Combining generous helpings of Cascade hops with 5 different malts with an amber- brown color, this is a crisp and balanced ale with subtle toasted notes that is enjoyable to the last drop! ABV 6.3%

We want to give a warm welcome to our new head brewer, Colin House. Colin spent time with us as an intern several years ago and was called back as an assistant brewer last February 2012. He has now moved into the position of head brewer and will hold the reigns brewing some of the finest beers ever made on the planet Earth!

Our Tour tasting room is still a work in progress as we have just finished painting and are about to finish the floor. Then the ceiling and then the taps and we are all done! until then we still run our very popular Friday Tours from 5 till 7pm.(no reservations needed). Join us for an education and some great beers!

Cricket Hill–Colonel Blides Cask Ale

28 July 2011

image

Our friends at Cricket Hill Brewing join us today with the new 12oz bottle packaging for Colonel Blides Cask Ale.  This 5.5% ABV 31 IBU ale is a package overhaul from the previous mostly-black label.  According to their website, “

A tasty, moderately hoppy, easy to drink beer with an orange marmalade hue with a frothy, off-white head. An herbal hop aroma with a hint of lemon and pine. This beer is not overly bitter, with orangy citrus and pine hop with slight earthy notes! There is a malty biscuit flavor that balances the hops. Makes me wish I had some Fish & Chips!!”

Hopnotic:  This odd new 12oz bottle packaging replaces the traditional black label for Hopnotic IPA.  This looks to be a foiled or reflective package that didn’t handle the TTB scanners very well so stay tuned for what this one may actually look like.

Summit Brewing Unchained Series Honeymoon Saison (Batch 7):

Here’s Sam’s new Saison brewed with Honey.  Look for this one to come in just over 5% ABV and be released in mud-July
