Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Woodchuck Tank Series Cucumber Mint Cider

Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Woodchuck Cucumber Mint CiderI know that you’re reading these words, but your brain is still reading the headline.  How do you combine the words “mint,” “cider,” and “cucumber” and create a drink that you then package in a can?  Well Woodchuck Hard Cider is here to tell us all.

Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Woodchuck Cucumber Mint CiderThat’s right…today we are sampling Woodchuck Cucumber Mint Cider and before you start forming a picture in your mind (and on your taste buds), lets pour and sample.  This 2nd of three Tank Series ciders pours bright and crystal clear with loads of fresh apple and yes a bit of mint in the aromas.  If you’re looking for a prominent aroma, I’d say it’s apple with the mint sneaking in at a close second.  You’ll know the mint is there but it does not dominate the aromas.  Cucumber Mint has really refreshing cucumber and tart apple flavors and if it ended there, it would be a really interesting cider.  But Woodchuck took it a step further and introduced mint.  Now I know there are a lot of purists when it comes to mint, and whether it’s in beer, ice cream or even cider, their opinions can be pretty polarized.  While I’m definitely no fan of mint, I’m here to tell you that it actually balances out the refreshing cucumber and tart apple nicely.  The mint isn’t dominant and we found the overall combination of mint and cucumber to be unique, refreshing, light and really drinkable.

This cider is packaged in 12oz cans and a big thank you to Woodchuck for the cool Woodchuck logo’d wooden box it was packed in.  Cucumber Mint hits 5%-AbV and I think you’ll find it really drinkable and refreshing.  Be sure to try Woodchuck Cucumber Mint hard cider for yourself…and when you do, be sure to let us know what YOU think.
