MadTree Celebrating Arbor DayFrom MadTree:

MadTree giving away over 6,000 tree saplings and raising money for Great Parks Foundation

CINCINNATI (April 17, 2018) – MadTree Brewing is celebrating Arbor Day this year by giving away tree saplings when you purchase one of their beers at select retailers throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Bars, restaurants, and the MadTree Taproom will be serving a variety of MadTree beers to mark the occasion, including a special Drink Trees Pale Ale brewed especially for these events. A variety of trees, including Incense Cedar, Scotch Pine, Blue Spruce, Fraser Fir, and Tulip Poplar will be distributed to ensure they have the best chances for survival in this climate region.

A kickoff party will be held at the MadTree Taproom (3301 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45209) on Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m. with the Great Parks of Hamilton County on-hand with a red-tailed hawk and information about their conservation and reforestation efforts in the Greater Cincinnati area. A portion of beer sales at the Taproom kickoff event will be donated to Great Parks Forever, the philanthropic partner of Great Parks.

Bars, restaurants, and other retail partners throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee will be holding their own special events to distribute trees beginning Friday, April 20 through Arbor Day on Friday, April 27.  The Drink Trees beer, a pale ale with grapefruit and juniper and aged on cedar spirals, will be tapped at events across all three states.

“The Drink Trees, Plant Trees initiative is just another example of the way MadTree supports the community and sustainability in general,” said MadTree Brewing sales director, Michelle Graef. “We started giving out saplings last year and it was really cool to see all the pictures people sent to us showing their trees.”

About MadTree Brewing Company

Cincinnati’s MadTree Brewing made history when they opened in 2013 by becoming the first modern craft brewery to can its beer in Ohio. When it comes to brewing, they have carved their own path. They mix. They mash. They methodically bring quality beer to life, and have fun doing it. Demand from the growing community keeps MadTree motivated and moving. In return, they make nothing but the best beer and opened their new production brewery and taproom in February 2017. They are founded and continue to grow on the notion that beer builds community builds and community builds beer.
