Boulevard Releasing Allegro Non Troppo 4/22

Boulevard Releasing Allegro Non Troppo 4/22From Boulevard:

Following up on the delicious fun we had brewing and sharing Requiem for a Pancake, One Love - Imperial Stout Aged in Jamaican Rum Barrels and Rye on Rye on Rye on Rye, our previous Brewhouse One Series releases, we're excited to announce that it's almost time to share another new, special beer with you, our friends and neighbors!

Allegro Non Troppo began life as the Belgian-style golden sour ale we brew to create Love Child blends. Following primary fermentation with our house Belgian yeast strain, the base beer was aged in neutral wine barrels for an average length of 18 months with a mixed culture of lactobacillus and brettanomyces. Following this period of barrel-aging/fermentation, the sour Belgian-style golden ale was transferred onto 2,000 pounds of crushed Tempranillo grapes in a stainless aging tank to rest for five months.

Allegro Non Troppo pours an electric magenta hue boasting rustic aromas of black currant, forest floor and leather. This magnificently complex sour ale features a bracing lactic acidity with notes of ripe blackberries, bright red raspberries and a touch of lemon. Allegro Non Troppo finishes quite dry with airy, effervescent carbonation and a lingering tannic character from the Tempranillo grape skins.
