Troegs Releasing First Cut Mango IPA

Troegs First Cut Mango IPA Coming SoonFrom Troegs:

First Cut Mango IPA was a labor of love to get just right. We dialed back the bittering hops and used a touch of honey malt to balance the mango. Comet hops add tropical notes and Simcoe elevates the juicy sweetness of the mango. Watch for it. http://troegs.com/hopcycle Troegs First Cut Mango IPA Coming Soon

Each spring, hop growers dust off their pruning shears and trim the first shoots, bolstering the bines for a rich growing season. First Cut – a mouthful of silky Simcoe and a touch of mango – is a nod to this ritual, without which the world would be a less hoppy place.

With hops in hand and curiosity as our guide, we conjured up the Hop Cycle to explore the possibilities of our favorite flower. Along the way, we discovered that the citrus of Simcoe elevates the delicate sweetness of mango, that sticky Azacca plays well with the tart tannins of hibiscus, and that – left to shine – Cascade, Centennial and Chinook are classics for a reason.

On Monday, February 5, the Hop Cycle was renewed with the release of First Cut Mango IPA. Each spring, hop growers dust off their pruning shears and trim the first shoots, bolstering the bines for a rich growing season. First Cut – a mouthful of silky Simcoe and a touch of mango – is a nod to this ritual, without which the world would be a less hoppy place.
