Cigar City Adding Texas Distribution

Cigar City Adding Texas DistributionFrom Cigar City:

2018 is off to a great start for Cigar City with the addition of Texas to the Tampa-based brewery’s distribution network. CCB has partnered with Ben E. Keith Beverages throughout the state to distribute its portfolio of unique ales and lagers, including the award-winning Jai Alai IPA. Kegs and twelve ounce cans of Jai Alai, Tampa-style Lager and its newest year-round offering Guayabera Citra Pale Ale will be available throughout Texas beginning in late January.

Part of CANarchy’s vision is to share capacity across multiple brewing facilities to supply the nation with the freshest beer in a can available. In this spirit, Cigar City Brewing will begin brewing a portion of their year-round offerings at the Oskar Blues Brewing facility in Austin, Texas. Not only will Texans have access to Cigar City Brewing’s Florida-inspired beer for the first time, the launch of the brand will also add more locally-brewed beer to Texas’ rapidly growing craft beer market.

“Cigar City Brewing has had its eye on The Lone Star State for quite a while and our partners in crime at CANarchy have given us the ability to serve the freshest liquid possible to the craft beer masses of Texas,” says CCB’s El Lector Neil Callaghan. “Nobody knows the craft beer scene in Texas better than the team at Ben E. Keith Beverage and they’ve really helped us feel like we’re launching a new home state.”

Kevin Nettleton, Specialty Division General Manager with Ben E. Keith Beverages says, “We’ve been working with Cigar City Brewing and Oskar Blues Brewery for a while to make this partnership happen. We’re very pleased to partner with two first-class organizations and distribute Cigar City Brewing’s award-winning beers across Texas, especially with some of it being produced right here in our backyard.”

Market launch events will be taking place throughout the state in late January with Cigar City Brewing representatives from Tampa on hand to celebrate the occasion. These events will be incredible opportunities for Texas’ craft beer fans to enjoy some of the first CCB beer brewed in the state and to learn about Cigar City Brewing’s history and its award winning beer from the people who know it best.
