Brasserie Cantillon Comments On Beer Trafficking

Brasserie Cantillon Comments On Beer TraffickingSome interesting comments coming today from Brasserie Cantillon:

Dear All,
As you know, Fou'foune, Nath and Lou Pepe Framboise are already sold out. They went faster than last year and I feel I owe our customers an apology.

700 six-bottle boxes and more than 1000 single bottles were foreseen for this sale. More or less half of this volume was purchased by people who didn't know anything about Lambic and even less about Cantillon.
Most of those "customers", sent by people trafficking our beers and reselling them online, couldn't even pronounce the name of the brewery or of the beers correctly.

We fully understand all the complaints we got from Cantillon lovers and we will do our best to try to solve the problem in the future and give back Cantillon beers to Cantillon drinkers!

We're already thinking about a few possible solutions, but if you have an idea that you feel could work, please do share it with us!

  1. Kane Brewing uses Eventbrite for their special bottle purchases. Plus showing up in person to receive the bottles. And I believe American Solera uses a yearly membership for any purchases of their beer.
    Good luck
