Mybeerbuzz.com- Overhauling the Buzz v3.0

Mybeerbuzz.com- Overhauling the Buzz
If you’re reading this post, it’s very likely that you’ve noticed a bit of a change at mybeerbuzz.com.  With our 10th-Anniversary approaching this coming spring, I’ve decided it was time to finally overhaul the buzz.

Over the last 10-years we’ve tried to create a beer news site that was not only friendly to readers and advertisers, but also visually appealing; and while we may have met those goals for quite a while, it’s been painfully obvious that it was time to overhaul the buzz.

2017 has been a challenging year; trying to steer the boat and paddle the boat at the same time (and yes even bail the water out every so often).  Rather that list the multiple limitations we’ve encountered with the old website and the multiple problems it’s caused for our design, content and SEO, I’d rather just say the time has come for a ground-up restoration, and here it is.

The new buzz will still feature the latest breaking craft beer news and your first peek at new beers coming to market…but in a fresh, bright and reader-friendly format.  We’ve made the most-used features more prominent and eliminated many of the features that no longer worked.  We’ve also done the same with our advertising and removed much of the bloat and redundancy from the site.  You’ll find the new site is more responsive, the search functionality is more robust, our social media channels are featured prominently at the top and our sharing icons are more robust and available on the top screen as well as the “read more” screens.  We’ve also added a breaking news scroller (and button) and more prominent menu items to cover our resources, our regional coverage, our sampling program, our advertising layout and our weekly live craft beer terrestrial-radio show.

Over the next week or so, you’ll notice some small tweaks being added as we get used to these new shoes.  Please DO comment or e-mail me if you have any suggestions or requests…and to help that process, you’ll notice that under each post we offer our standard comments, Disqus comments and even a direct Facebook comment option (as well as a contact button at the top).

I thank you all in advance for your continued support of mybeerbuzz.com and your patience as we make this transition to overhaul the buzz.
