Terrapin Beer Co. Giveaway Aimed at Active Lifestyle

What pairs well with beer? The great outdoors! And music! And backyard barbeques! Terrapin is encouraging fans to take Terrapin beer on adventures across the globe (or at home) and share them using the hashtag #TakeTerrapin.

The idea for #TakeTerrapin started in 2016, as Terrapin started to talk about a summer social media campaign. The goal of the message was to focus on fun events and activities that involved our beer, and things that Terrapin employees enjoy. Terrapin employs people with all sorts of interests and hobbies, from camping to mountain biking to attending every music festival and show possible. Rather than choose just one to focus on, Terrapin found a common thread. Terrapin employees take beer with them wherever they go. 

And so #TakeTerrapin was born. This year, Terrapin asked four partners to come onboard for the giveaway portion of #TakeTerrapin. Each week, Terrapin will repost a fan photo, and give away a prize. The giveaway will run May through August, featuring prizes from one of Terrapin's merchandise partners each month.

June: Osprey Packs (
https://www.ospreypacks.com/us/en/), a gear manufacturer who’s goal is to create innovative high performance gear that reflects our love of adventure and our devotion to the outdoors

July: Grand Trunk (
https://www.grandtrunk.com) creates custom hammocks for Terrapin, as well as lightweight travel hammocks and outdoor gear to help elevate your adventures.

August: Mountain Smith (
http://mountainsmith.com/) crafts premier outdoor gear for every aspect of your adventure. Building on a 38-year heritage of durability, utility, and versatility, Mountainsmith gear is…Forged for Life. (Look for Terrapin coolers in our gift shop starting in August!

Last year, the campaign generated over 1,000 uses of the hashtag. This year, Terrapin is hoping to have even more participation. So will you share where you #TakeTerrapin?
