Peach Bum is brewed with a strain of yeast that produces peach-like flavors, playing off the fruity character of its four hop varieties. We added more peach to give this IPA extra juice. At its pit, this IPA is a juicy and refreshing fruit beer with a tantalizing aroma and an easy-drinking light body. Just in time for the warmest summer months,

MINNEAPOLIS, MAY 8, 2017: Indeed Brewing is excited to announce the newest addition to its summer beer lineup, Peach Bum IPA, to be released on June 5th. Made for the hazy days of summer, Peach Bum IPA has juicy notes of peach cobbler, tart citrus and tropical-tasting hops. It joins Indeed Brewing’s adventurous lineup of hoppy and refreshing IPAs in 12 oz. cans.

The idea for Peach Bum IPA was planted last summer, when Head Brewer Josh Bischoff created an IPA for Indeed’s Derailed Series, a lineup of experimental beers. “We were looking for a fruity, lighter colored IPA to enjoy in the summer months,” says Bischoff. “I was interested in bringing in a different yeast that would stand out from the hoppy beers we’ve been brewing, something more fruity and less neutral.” For the hop bill, Bischoff chose to select American hops also known to bring strong fruit character to beer - Mosaic, Citra, Azacca and Centennial. With its inviting juicy and fruity flavors, Derailed: IPA became a fast favorite in the taproom, both among customers and Indeed’s own staff.

“We were amazed at the peach character that the ingredients delivered on their own, and decided it would be fun to build a beer around peach” says Indeed Co-Founder, Tom Whisenand. Bischoff set out to create a final recipe that featured peach, keeping the balance of flavors a priority. “We didn’t want to go over the top, but just find a nice harmony between the existing character of the IPA and the fruit,” explains Bischoff. “We added actual peach to bring another dimension to the fruitiness of the beer and to twist the IPA style a little bit,” adds Whisenand. “We try not to take ourselves too seriously at Indeed, hopefully people see that in the name and style of this beer,” noting that he expects Peach Bum IPA to make Indeed’s IPA lineup more playful and inviting. With Bischoff’s carefully balanced notes of peach building on the beer's existing fruit character, Peach Bum IPA is juicy, refreshing and easy-drinking, right down to the pit.

Peach Bum IPA is slated to hit store shelves and tap towers the week of June 5th, just in time for the warmest months of summer. Indeed will kick off the release with a parking lot party at Hi-Lo Diner on Lake Street in Minneapolis - look out on social media for more details coming soon. Available on draft and in 12 oz. cans featuring artwork by Chuck U, Peach Bum IPA is ripe to become your new sun-drenched and juicy summer jam.
