One of the fastest growing craft cideries in the country continues to expand its reach as Blake’s Hard Cider will officially be released into Pennsylvania over the next 30 days. In late March, Blake’s Hard Cider announced their intentions to begin distribution in their first state in the Northeast. The Michigan-based company has partnered with Muller, Inc. for coverage in Philly and Steel City Beer Wholesalers for Pittsburgh, both launching in early May.

“Blake’s will bring some of the most exciting and innovative ciders to Pittsburgh,” Shane Lohman, owner of Steel City Beer Wholesalers, said in a statement, “From Wakefire to Grizzly Pear, Blake’s Hard Cider will make a huge impact from day one.” Ryan Reigel from Muller, Inc. out of Philadelphia echoed Lohman’s thoughts, “When Blake’s joins Muller, Inc. in May, we welcome an exciting and innovating craft cidery into to our portfolio. Blake’s will be distributed across the city in the on and off premise as well as a rapidly expanding Philadelphia area grocery market; we couldn’t be more excited!”

Throughout the rest of the state, Blake’s has partnered with Allentown Beverage, Ace Distributing, Mid State Beverage Co., Northeast Eagle, Resort Beverage and Nittany Beverage. Blake’s partners will begin distribution of 12oz can six-packs and kegs including:

Flannel Mouth (6.5%) – Semi-sweet

El Chavo (6.5%) – Mango Habanero

Wakefire (6.5%) – Michigan Cherry & Orange Peel

Beard Bender (6.5%) – Dry

Grizzly Pear (5%) – Pear

Rotating Seasonals– TBD

This marks the eleventh state which Blake’s has reached. Blake’s Hard Cider is available in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Kansas, North Carolina and now Pennsylvania.----

Blake’s Hard Cider is available in six-pack cans and on draft; limited-edition releases come in 22oz, 750mL or 500mL bottles and limited draft. For more information on Blake’s Hard Cider, go to
