Greetings Short’s-i-verse, in a ploy to please the extraterrestrial, Ziltoid the Omniscient, we’ve brewed the universe’s ultimate Golden Sour Ale and dedicated it to the alien threatening our very existence; Ziltoidia Attaxx!
Ziltoidia Attaxx (5.5% ABV – 7 IBU) is a Golden Sour with Madcap Coffee Reko blend from Ethiopia. Hazy and golden in color with a frothy white head, Ziltoidia Attaxx has a sour nutty aroma with notes of hazelnut and coffee. Mildly acidic, this Golden Sour has flavors of coffee, oak, and hazelnut as well as some funky farmhouse notes. Ziltoidia Attaxx finishes dry with little tartness.
According to Mike “Doom Metal” McQuiston, the mastermind behind this brew, “The base for this beer is a mix of four 9 month old barrels of a Golden Sour that had a subdued acidity and light funk. Madcap’s Reko Ethiopian blend was used as the flavor notes of citrus, flowers, and tea complement the base beer really well.”
