New Belgium Changing Fat Tire From “Amber Ale” To “Belgian-Style Ale”

This morning we get to see a really interesting packaging update coming from New Belgium for their classic Fat Tire. Before you panic, the beer will remain the same at 5.2%-AbV, but it looks like the style on the packaging is changing from “Amber Ale” to “Belgian Style Ale.” If that’s not enough fun, the bicycle on the label is moving from grass to the sidewalk so it looks like Fat Tire is growing up a bit. You’re looking at 12oz cans, 12oz bottles, 22oz bottles and 16oz cans. It’s also interesting to note that some of these packages do not list the 5.2%-AbV. Stay tuned for more release info.

I swear the flavor has changed, or I have. Fat Tire was my favorite, now I don't drink it anymore.

I'm sure it's taste buds. The beers surrounding Fat Tire in the market have changed radically. I always have one at the beach but my tastes have changed too.
