Flying Fish - Exit 2 Rosemary Double IPA Coming 2/2

imageFrom Flying Fish:

Our newest big bottle release comes out today and you can be one of the first to try it at our Tasting Room or the Crafthouse in Brewerytown.  Both beers tap at 4pm and both tappings will also feature one-off firkins of Exit 2 infused with Meyer lemon.  We’ll be joined in the Tasting Room by our new neighbor, Monkey Joe’s Big Nut Co. who will be providing fresh-roasted samples.  The Crafthouse will be featuring a pairing with a special porchetta sandwich (bring one back for us!)

As for the beer, this 9% abv double IPA features big rosemary, pine and fruit aromatics from Chinook, Simcoe, Warrior and Mosaic hops—as well as from the rosemary.  The hops and herb are balanced by flavors of eight different malts:  think freshly baked bread or lightly kilned malt.  A slight alcohol warmth rounds out this big, resinous double IPA.  The beer features New Jersey grown malt and hops.

Exit 3 Now Out in Big New Smaller Packaging

One of your most requested repeats of our Exit Series is the Exit 3 Blueberry Braggot.  So we're happy to announce it's coming back, all 15% abv of it!  This blueberry braggot is an ancient style of beer that’s a cross between mead, which is a honey wine, and beer.  Not many hops but lots of NJ honey and Hammonton blueberries and Belgian yeast make this a one of a kind experience.  Each sip reveals new flavors and complexity.

We’ll be doing a special tapping in the Tasting Room and at the
Crafthouse Thursday February 9 at 4pm.  We’ll be featuring some special beers and the Crafthouse will be pairing the Exit 3 with Farmhouse Stew, pickled blueberries and in-house baked blueberry bread.

Another change we’re introducing based on your requests is that we’re putting all our big beers into 4 packs, starting this month with Exit 3, Exit 4 American Trippel and Exit 16 Double IPA.   Look for the new packaging and format at your local retailer.
