From Concrete Beach: Wynwood’s Concrete Beach Brewery has released two Social Hall tested, fan approved beers in package – TangeRica and Más Hops will be available at your local grocery and liquor store beginning March 6.
A spin on the brewery’s original RICA wheat IPA, TangeRica is a refreshing, full-bodied wheat IPA that’s little drier and crisper, and bursting with tangerine and citrus hop flavors. Inspired by the flavors and aromas of Florida’s numerous citrus groves, this beer has notes of citron blossom, grapefruit peel, orange, and lemongrass, while a wheat-heavy malt bill and subtle hop bitterness round out the experience.
TangeRica:
- Malt: 2-Row Brewers Malt, Malted Wheat, Weyermann Carafoam, Patagonia 55L
- Hops: Citra, Centennial, Warrior
- Other: Tangerine Peel, Tangerine Juice
- ABV: 6.5% Alc./Vol.
- IBU: 45
“It was very fun testing out recipes for TangeRica, as we were trying to find the perfect balance of acidity, bitterness and flavor from the fruit and hop profile,” said Marco Reyna, head brewer for Concrete Beach. “I think we hit the nail right on the head with this one, and I’m excited to introduce it to the South Florida market!”
Also available now in package is Más Hops. This double IPA originally went on tap at the Social Hall in the fall of 2015 as a seasonal option, but because of its popularity among visitors, it has not only earned a permanent spot at the bar, but will now be available for a limited time in 12oz. cans.
Pushing limits and boundaries, high hops are accompanied by high refreshment in this hugely aromatic and flavorful IPA. Más Hops boasts a bouquet of pine and citrus that sets your palate up to appreciate the flavors of orange and grapefruit rind. A sharp hoppy bitterness is balanced by a pleasant, malty body. Más Hops is a beer that truly comes alive in the contrasts.

- Malt: 2-Row Brewers Malt, Malted Wheat, Patagonia 55L, Carapils
- Hops: Warrior, Chinook, Citra and Centennial
- ABV: 10% Alc./Vol.
- IBU: 65
Both beers are available on tap at the Social Hall and at bars and restaurants across South Florida. TangeRica is available in 12oz. 6-pack bottles, and Más Hops is available in 12oz. 6-pack cans. Look for it and Concrete Beach’s other beers on their online Beer Finder.
