NEW YORK, NY - Feb. 16, 2017 - Bud Light, the Official Beer of the NBA, is taking over 211 Royal Street in New Orleans' historic French Quarter during NBA All-Star 2017 (Feb. 17-20) to bring fans Bud Light Crew HQ — a one-of-a-kind experience complete with a beer garden, arcade, retail space, NBA player appearances and musical performances from Mannie Fresh and Friends.
Mannie will be joined by some of the biggest names in the New Orleans music scene for live shows throughout the weekend. Other artists performing at Crew HQ include Mannie's Big Tymers' partner and friend Birdman, Jay Electronica, Curren$y, Hot 8 Brass Band, Zaytoven and more.
Bud Light Crew HQ will be THE place to be during NBA All Star for fans and friends to create new memories and be part of amazing moments that celebrate sports, music, food and culture. In addition to musical performances and events, the space will also host special NBA All-Star editions of "Hot Ones," the wildly popular hot wing eating web series that will put the taste buds of some of music and the NBA's favorite friend duos in the hot seat – literally. The space will also host panel discussions with current and former NBA stars as well as a photo gallery of famous NBA friendship photos by iconic basketball photographer Atiba Jefferson.
"NBA culture is synonymous with friendships among players on and off of the court, but also among fans watching in the stands and at home. We felt it was the perfect place for Bud Light to activate our Famous Among Friends campaign," said Alex Lambrecht, vice president Bud Light. "At Bud Light we consider ourselves to be a friend of the fan and we are excited to team up with our friends at the NBA to bring a unique experience to fans in New Orleans with Bud Light Crew HQ."
Bud Light Crew HQ will also have an on-site news studio highlighting friendship through in-house and on-the-street interviews with NBA stars as well as entertainment personalities. The studio will feature a living room set, inspired by watching the game at home with friends while enjoying Bud Light.
