Ever since we touched down on American soil we have wanted to serve our beer to the people of Ohio from our own kickass taproom. In the land where these bastions of freshly served craft beer are king, having a DogTap was the first thing on the wish list for BrewDog USA. Since we broke ground in Columbus our amazing team have worked all hours to make it happen – and for the people of Ohio your reward is set to arrive very soon indeed.
DogTap Columbus is set to open its doors on Monday February 20th!
Anybody who rocked up to discover our progress during the BrewDog Columbus open days has only a few more days to wait to be able to see the finished article. We can’t wait to welcome the surrounding community along to our brand new DogTap and enjoy pouring BrewDog beer for them. As the brewhouse installation is still ongoing we are air-freighting kegs across to Columbus for our new friends and neighbours to enjoy!
The response from everyone in the local area has been nothing short of amazing. When we dispatched emails to our new legion of BrewDog USA Equity Punks detailing their exclusive DogTap preview night, so many asked to head down that we have had to schedule in a whole second evening! This enthusiasm is incredible, and a testament to the Midwestern welcome that we have been shown ever since we first arrived in Ohio.
DogTap Columbus is located at our new brewery at 96 Gender Road, Canal Winchester OH 43110 and comes complete with plenty of tables and seating options both inside and out – just in time for the Midwestern Spring weather to arrive! We will be serving 12 taps of fresh craft beer at launch, building to 24 over time, as well as rocking a selection of wines, liquor and craft sodas.
DogTap Columbus will also be serving up barista coffee to sit in or to go, plus a range of amazing freshly-cooked-to-order food for anybody after something to eat during their visit – from bar snacks to burgers, salads, pizzas, awesome bar bites and sharing boards. Plus DogTap will also be open for a special brunch service operating on weekends for anyone getting up early!
It has been a labour of love constructing our new US taproom, and the great people of Ohio have only a weekend wait to be able to discover exactly what we are about. DogTap Columbus opens on Monday February 20th at 11am – be sure and stop by to say hello over a freshly-poured BrewDog beer or two...
With our brewery in Columbus, Ohio on the very brink of trialling its first beers, and our kit dialling in for our first releases mid-2017, we have some super exciting news for our home state distribution. Today, we can announce that we’ll be partnering with Superior Beverage Group for the majority of Ohio’s counties, with Cavalier covering the remainder. We are really excited about these relationships and can’t wait to make as many people as passionate about great craft beer as we are! Scroll down for the county breakdown!
DogTap will launch with beers flown in from Ellon, but when our Columbus brewery starts releasing its first beers later this year, we’ll be giving Ohio a huge focus for our initial few months. The response from locals has been absolutely insane, leading to us opening a second Equity Punk preview event for DogTap (which officially opens on Monday 20th February!), with nearly 1,000 people signing up for events or added to the wait list!
We have some insane plans for growth in Ohio, and will be scaling rapidly in our home state to start with. We’re focusing our efforts on the incredible response from local counties before spreading our wings beyond state lines, and are pretty excited to start seeing BrewDog beer appearing in some of the state’s amazing craft beer bars and venues.
