BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC – Pisgah Brewing Company has announced its plans for the 2017 Winter release of Vanilla Porter in 22oz bottles and on draught Thursday, January 19th in their taproom in Black Mountain, NC. The release will coincide with the January Thursday Residency with Black Mountain and Asheville natives, Hustle Souls, rocking the indoor stage at 6:30pm while the bottle release will begin at 2pm when the taproom opens to the public.
Pisgah Brewing has long been revered for their original Porter recipe - a smooth blend of five organic grains and malts balanced by single addition of whole-leaf Chinook and Nugget hops. The newest wintertime favorite, Vanilla Porter, features a beefed up version of the original Porter recipe that finishes on raw Madagascar vanilla beans before being put into bottles and kegs. The final product is a mildly sweet dark beer with seductive notes of vanilla on the nose and mild roasted coffee and chocolate notes left on the palate.
