We are happy to announce that we brewed our latest collaboration batch of Double Dose IPA with Otter Creek Brewing! Expect it in the marketplace in late September.

VT and CT will receive their usual deliveries of Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session #2 in cans and draft.

Sean is super pumped to travel to Yakima Washington for hop selection in early October. It will result in a more consistent hop supply for the Sip of Sunshine IPA and other Lawson’s Finest beers. You’ll also catch him and our delicious Finest Liquids at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver October 6-8! Maui Releasing Blood Orange Lorenzini DIPA Cans & Liquid Breadfruit Ale Bottles

Blood Orange Lorenzini DIPA

Back by popular demand, Maui Brewing Company is re-releasing Lorenzini Double IPA for a limited time only. The name, with a slight change from the original 2015 release, comes from the sharks "Ampullae of Lorenzini", the shark's electro sensory organ used to detect changes in electric fields. This American Double IPA is brewed with local citrus and blood orange juice. The unique hop profile lend heavy citrus and hop aromas, and a big hop flavor balanced with the fruity goodness of blood oranges. At 8.0% ABV and 78 IBUs, this a deceptively drinkable Double IPA.

"There is no need to have a sixth sense to enjoy this fan favorite beer. We've brewed a very limited batch of this juicy DIPA to help beat the summer heat. Hunt it down quickly before others do," said Brewing Supervisor, Matt Ponichtera.

Blood Orange Lorenzini Double IPA will be available in the Kihei Tasting Room and the Lahaina Brewpub beginning September 1st. To celebrate the launch, both locationswill offer a one day only special IPA flight including Blood Orange Lorenzini DIPA, Double Overhead DIPA, Slippah SIPA and Mosaic Mo'Betta IPA.

Liquid Breadfruit Ale

21st Amendment Marooned On Hog Island Returns

SAN LEANDRO, CA (1 Sept. 2016) – When the world is your oyster, life on an English galleon is no place for weary deck swabs. Legend has it that centuries ago, two such men abandoned Sir Francis Drake’s ship off the coast of Marin county and bobbed to shore clinging to a few casks of the captain’s finest ale. Washing up on a tiny island in Tomales Bay, they encountered a pair of local oyster farmers. Marooned together, these beer mutineers and oyster mercenaries shared a few pearls of wisdom and created a rare and legendary beer that they called, simply, Oyster Stout.

While the story may not be 100% true, the tale spun around 21st Amendment Brewery’s reborn oyster stout, Marooned on Hog Island, speaks volumes in regards to the innovation and quality craft created by co-founders Shaun O’Sullivan and Nico Freccia.

“More than just a fun tale of a like-minded collaboration, this oyster stout is also deep rooted as a traditional style produced in England, where oysters are plentiful and there is not shortage of stout on that island nation. Marooned on Hog Island is our new world interpretation, created with our neighbors at Hog Island Oyster Company just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Tomales Bay, and it is nothing short of spectacular,” said Freccia.

The rich, midnight-colored dark stout has an ABV of 7.9% and is brewed with Magnum and Willamette hops and several types of malts including Crystal, Carafa, Chocolate and rolled oats. The special ingredient is the 200 pounds of Sweetwater oyster shells brewed in each batch, which comes from Hog Island Oyster Company, one of the nation’s leading producers of sustainable shellfish. The salinity in the brine and the calcium of the shells are necessary ingredients in the brewing process and deliver a silky, slightly salty enhancement that complements the sweet caramel, chocolate and roasted coffee notes.

“We’ve been making oyster stout with Hog Island oysters at our San Francisco brewery since we first opened in 2000,” said O’Sullivan. “It was really an excuse to shuck oysters and enjoy them with friends and then collect the shells and use them in the brew. When we decided to release this beer in a can and on draft we reached out to John Finger and Terry Sawyer, the founders of Hog Island Oyster Company, and they were just as excited about this project as we were. We actually named the beer after a real life event where John and his wife were literally marooned on Hog Island when their skiff became unmoored and slipped away into Tomales Bay one afternoon while they were exploring the area.”

Best enjoyed alone or alongside a plate of your favorite oysters, the beer will be shucked into 4-pack cans and available September 1 in all of 21stAmendment’s 26 distribution territories.

Mitten Brewing & New Holland Collaborate On "Gilda Redner"

The special brew is being make to commemorate Gilda's Club's second annual West Side Walk and Block Party happening on Sept. 24.

"We want to celebrate the West Side and that organization and all they mean to our community," said Jim Davis, local pastor. "This beer is a really cool way to do that -- today, we're going to brew it and on Sept. 24, were going to drink it!"

Foothills Announces 2-Year Partnership with Wake Forest University

Since we were the first craft beer maker to ever open here, we’ve always kinda considered ourselves Winston-Salem’s hometown brewery.

Well now we’re joining one of our hometown teams.

We are very, very proud to announce a 2-year partnership with Wake Forest University to serve our locally made craft beer at school athletic events. The partnership commences with Wake Forest’s first home football game, vs. Tulane on Thursday September 1st (kickoff set for 7pm).

We consider this great news for all involved … starting with our co-owner Matt Masten, one of the main architects of the deal. Says Matt, “I grew up in Winston-Salem and have been a Deacon fan for as long as I can remember. I look forward to sharing a pint with fans during the season this year.”

Jamie Bartholomaus, our president and CEO, sees this as a “natural business partnership” that pairs the prestige and prominence of Wake Forest’s academics and athletics with the most award-winning brewery in North Carolina. He says “to be invited to have our products available to Wake Forest fans is an honor, and a sponsorship we look forward to maximizing to its full potential.”

This partnership is part of a bigger initiative entitled ‘Made in Winston-Salem’, an effort by the Athletic department to showcase local businesses on campus.

But wait, it gets better! In addition to availability at Demon Deacon football games at BB&T Field, Foothills beer will also be on sale at all men’s and women’s home basketball games at Lawrence Joel Coliseum. Wake Forest is also considering offering alcohol sales at David F. Couch Ballpark for baseball, and at Spry Stadium for men’s and women’s soccer matches.

At football games, Hoppyum IPA & Carolina Blonde Cream Ale will be served on all concourses. Those flagship brands, as well as selected Foothills seasonal beers, will be available in the Flow Lexus Club, luxury suites, the Moricle Society suite, the Touchdown Club, and the beer garden known as Top Hat Tavern located behind Deacon Hill.

COLUMBUS, OH (Aug. 31, 2016) – Irreverent Scottish brewer, BrewDog is introducing its infamous 55 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) brew, The End of History, to the U.S. market at a key moment for the craft beer industry. Ohio House Bill 37 went into effect this week, removing the 12 percent ABV limit on beers both made and sold in the state where BrewDog is establishing its U.S. brewery later this year. BrewDog is celebrating this historic limit lift in its hallmark irreverent fashion by sharing the record-breaking brew as an exclusive perk to investors that pledge $20,000 or more to its unique Equity for Punks USA crowdfunding model.

The name ‘The End of History’ derives from the famous work of philosopher Francis Fukuyama – implying that The End of History is to beer what democracy is to history. Deschutes Brewery’s Street Pub Raises $81,000 for Roanoke Nonprofits

On August 27, Deschutes Brewery brought its 400-foot pop-up-pub to its new second home of Roanoke, VA.  During the one-day event, the brewery poured a record-breaking 241 kegs to approximately 22,000 people. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event went to area nonprofit organizations, totaling more than $81,000!

Primary nonprofit partners included Roanoke Outside Foundation, Blue Ridge Land Conservancy and Feeding America Southwest Virginia. Other partners were Pathfinders for Greenways, Roanoke IMBA, Clean Valley Council, Leap for Local Food, Family Promise of Greater Roanoke, and Bradley Free Clinic of Roanoke Valley.   

With over 278 Volunteers and 30 nonprofits represented, the brewery was blown away by the response from its home away from home. Deschutes shares this great accomplishment with everyone involved.

Carolina Bauernhaus / RJ Rockers - Barrel-Aged Grand Old Fuzzy Coming 9/2

Brewed in the summer of 2015 with our friends at RJ Rockers in Spartanburg, SC using a proprietary blend of native yeasts from our friends at SouthYeast Labs, Barrel Aged Grand Old Fuzz then spent 11 months in freshly dumped Biltmore Winery Pinot Noir barrels developing an unrepeatable, deep complexity. The extended aging lead to notes of sweet fruits and dry tannins, a mild tartness, and a pleasant earthy spice.

Innis & Gunn Brewing Beer With “Truth Serum” - Smoke & Mirrors

Independent Scottish brewer Innis & Gunn is bringing its traditional Scottish straight-talking honesty to Americans with a bang; with the launch of the world’s first truth-telling beer. The limited edition beer, “Smoke & Mirrors,” will become more than just a metaphor for deception, as it’s brewed with a truth serum to ensure no lies will pass the drinker’s lips after the first sip.



Smoke & Mirrors has been brewed on Innis & Gunn’s home soil in Scotland, using the brewer’s innovative Oakerator™ (their own invention used to oak-age beers, similar to a coffee percolator). This particular brew includes Innis & Gunn Original and three natural ingredients, each which aid the truth-enhancing process:

– Licorice root – aside from giving the brew a unique and interesting flavor profile, studies
show that over a prolonged time, licorice helps keep mental skills sharp and improves cognitive functions. No excuses for a hazy memory.

– Mullein – commonly used during the brewing process, mullein is also a natural relaxant
that encourages open and honest behavior.

– Vine essence – this ingredient is for people who know their own minds and are certain of their ability. It helps the drinker to inspire or lead people, without force.

During a phase in which the country’s interest in the political sphere is at an all-time high, Smoke & Mirrors could not have come at a more appropriate time. Coming from Scotland, a nation that has recently faced months of political uncertainty and mistruths, the brewer can relate to the American people during the run-up to the presidential election.

No Label Releasing Off Label Series Nightmare on 1st Street Imperial Pumpkin Ale & Black Wit-O

September is here! We know it's still HOT outside but we are now bringing you our Off Label Series-Nightmare on 1st Street Imperial Pumpkin Ale in 4-packs this year!


This delicious beer is available in most stores but VERY LIMITED. We do NOT expect this beer to be available by the end of September. We did decide to make another extra batch of this to ensure there is plenty. 

Nightmare on 1st Street Imperial Pumpkin Ale is 9.3% ABV, 15 IBU's and is dry hopped with vanilla. Pumpkin, brown sugar, clove, ginger and cinnamon all go into this beer to make it one of our favorites. A big, malty, biscuity, caramel flavor with enjoy hops to give it a nice sweetness. We hope you enjoy our 2016 version!

Also hitting stores now.....our next seasonal which is a Dark Wheat Ale- Black Wit-O Ale! This 6.5% ABV beer packed full of delicious star of anise, chocolate wheat, roasted barley with a spider black color. This seasonal will be available September and October. Enjoy!

NO LABEL OKTOBERFEST TICKETS GO ON SALE NEXT WEEK(September 6th). Tickets will be available on our website for $30, which includes plate of delicious brats and a side, awesome Oktoberfest glass, music, dancing and 2 beers. (Extra beers can be purchased for $4).
