Two Roads Brewing Co. of Stratford, CT announced today another successful competition at The 20th Annual Great International Beer & Cider Competition in Providence, RI on November 5th.  Two Roads garnered six gold medals and two silver medals in a competitive field of 814 entries across 58 categories.

Taking top honors were Philsamic, an oak-aged beer with balsamic vinegar in the Flanders Red Ale category; Kriek in the Fruit Lambic category; Worker’s Comp Farmhouse Ale in the Saison category; Holiday Ale in the Biere de Garde competition; Bergamonster Imperial Wheat Belgian Fruit category, and Geyser Gose, a collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing, in the German Wheat category. Two Roads' Hexotic, a Lambic-style beer with six tropical fruits, took the silver in the Fruit Lambic category and its Passion Fruit Gose won a silver in the Fruit Ale category.

Two Roads Master Brewer Phil Markowski said, “these medals are a reflection of our team’s expansive capabilities to make award winning beers in so many different categories, and its particularly encouraging to see us do so well in the barrel aging and sour categories since we are building a second facility dedicated to these styles of beers—timing is everything!”

The new sour/barrel-aged brewery is slated to open in early 2018 adjacent to Two Roads' current facility.
