Our two-year experiment, Sour Times, will be tapped for the first time tomorrow at 4 PM.
Aged over 2 years in French oak wine barrels, Sour Times is a blending of fresh and seasoned, global and local, red wine barrels and fresh local blueberries, lactobacillus and wild local yeast. It is a complex, unique beer that almost defies classification.
Sour Times balances acidity, tannins, wood, and a wine-like hint of fruit . It's a celebration of what is possible when we allow ourselves to experiment, blur boundaries, work together for a common good, be optimistic for the future, and practice patience.
