The Brew Ridge Trail, Virginia’s Original Beer Destination, has come together once again to celebrate award-winning local craft beer in Central Virginia with a week of special events leading up to the release of a new collaboration brew.

Brewing took place this Veterans Day on Friday November 11th, 2016 at Wild Wolf Brewing Company. Brewers from Blue Mountain Brewery, Blue Mountain Barrel House, Devils Backbone, South Street, Starr Hill and Wild Wolf collaborated on a “A Beer to End All Wars.” The latest Brew Ridge Trail collaboration beer is to honor of those who have served in WWI/ WWII, and the event will be the kickoff for Nelson County’s participation in Virginia’s statewide tribute of the 75th anniversary of the United States entry into World War II event on December 8th.

Each brewery from the Brew Ridge Trail provided different ingredients that will go into brewing this worldly recipe and a brewer from each of the participating breweries will be present to begin the brewing process. In the spirit of the celebration and to honor all veterans, ingredients were gathered from countries on both sides of the war. These countries include England, France, Belgium, Ireland, Czechoslovakia, Chile, Canada, Japan, India and The United States.

From November 28th through December 4th, Brew Ridge Trail Week will feature unique events at each brewery – including an Industry Holiday Party at Starr Hill Brewery & Tap Room on Tuesday, November 29th. The culminating event will be the release of “A Beer to End All Wars” at Wild Wolf on December 8th, followed by a series of tap takeover events at locations across the Commonwealth. See below:
