Hickory, NC  Brewery Offers Four New Flavors of Annual Imperial Stout.

Raleigh, NC, October 21, 2016 - Mims Distributing Company, a leading wholesale beverage distributor in North Carolina, and Olde Hickory Brewery, a Hickory, North Carolina-based brewing company offering more than 14 handcrafted beers, announced that its annual imperial stout, The Event Horizon, will be available in the Triangle the week of Monday, Oct.17.

The Event Horizon (8.5 percent ABV), aged in oak bourbon barrels spanning several bourbon varieties, requires a full year to harness its dark, rich flavors. Infused with local, North Carolina honey and brewed with fresh water from the Blue Ridge Mountains, this strong imperial stout offers a smooth, roasty taste any craft beer lover would love in a full-bodied beer. Its unique flavors have earned it several awards, including the 2012 World of Beer Cup ® bronze award in the wood-and-barrel-aged strong stout category, and a sliver medal at the Great American Beer Festival.

In celebration of the announcement, Olde Hickory is releasing four new flavors of The Event Horizon to be offered at The Event Horizon Spectrum, its inaugural beer release party. The event will be hosted at Olde Hickory Brewery on Saturday, Nov.12.The Event Horizon Spectrum will offer four flavorful imperial stout variations, with Olde Hickory’s

The Event Horizon as its base, including:
1. Coffee and cinnamon,
2. Orange and cocoa,
3. Vanilla and coconut, and
4. Espresso and mocha.

During the Spectrum Series Event, all four imperial stouts and The Event Horizon will be available on draft, in flight pours and in 22-ounce bottles. The event will begin at 7 a.m. and will be on a first come, first served basis with a three-bottle limit for each variation per person. On Friday, Nov. 11, the beer-release festivities will begin with a bottle share party to explore Olde Hickory Brewery and celebrate the Spectrum Series event.
