Boulder, CO, October 23, 2016 The founders of Gunbarrel Brewing Company, Jamie Fox and his wife Marie announce they have signed a lease on an apx. 20,000 square foot facility at 7088 Winchester Circle in the Gunbarrel area of Boulder for their self-funded brewery.

Gunbarrel Brewing Company will offer a wide variety of beer styles employing both traditional and innovative brewing techniques. “We craft innovative beers expressing an extensive range of flavors that are delicate, funky or bold, inspired by ancient and modern styles,” explains Jamie Fox “Some of our beers will refresh you after an afternoon of hiking, while others enlighten your pallet with adventurous and unexpected flavors.”

They will install a 10-barrel brewhouse built by JV Northwest of Canby, Oregon, as well as a 1-barrel pilot system which will be used for experimentation, research, and development. The couple has acquired the bulk of their equipment over the course of the past three years while searching for the perfect location for the brewery. “We took our time to find a permanent location that would provide a really welcoming environment for our guests and coworkers, someplace they would truly enjoy spending time in,” says Marie. The sizeable new facility will allow for future growth and plenty of space for implementation of their barrel and wild ale programs.

Owner, Jamie Fox will bring audacious new flavors and ancient styles to the taps as head brewer. “We recognize that there are quite a few breweries in the area. We are humbled to locate our facilities among some of the finest breweries in the market. But there are also a lot of craft beer drinkers who crave variety. We look forward to offering distinctive and innovative flavors to compliment what is already being offered in the area,” says Jamie. He is a homebrewing veteran, with an education in Brewing Technology from the world-renowned Seibel Institute. Over the course of the past 16 years, he has developed a substantial catalog of well-tested beer recipes. Jamie’s Ph.D. in neuroscience and decades of laboratory experience provide him with a unique perspective on the brewing process. He maintains a strong focus on quality control and a disciplined approach to experimentation with ingredients, coaxing both nuanced and bold flavors into his brews. “I will employ laboratory testing and quality-control mechanisms from day one,” explains Jamie “to ensure we are presenting our patrons with the best quality beer possible.”

The Brewery will play host to food trucks, live performances, and beer-centric educational events. “We are so pumped about the positive feedback we’re receiving,” Marie explained. “Gunbarrel is our home. It is such a vibrant, tight-knit place, and we couldn’t be more excited to create a lively spot for our community and our beer to come together.” The new facility will feature a large taproom, games, beer garden, and boasts substantial off-street parking.

The new Gunbarrel Brewing Company building at 7088 Winchester Circle. is located just north of Lookout Rd., on the south side of the entrance to Gunbarrel Tech Center off of North 71’st Street, very close to Foothills Pkwy & Hwy 52.
