Stone 20th Anniversary Encore Series: Stone 02.02.02 Vertical Epic Ale (Video) - Greg Koch’s No. 1

08 September 2016

From Stone:

"I'm constantly asked what my favorite Stone beer is. It's the classic impossible-to-answer question. However, there's no doubt that hands down [Stone 02.02.02 Vertical Epic Ale] was my personal favorite of the Vertical Epic Ale Series. I loved many, but this one continues to be THE ONE for me." - Stone Brewing Executive Chairman and co-founder, Greg Koch

Only 300 cases were originally produced of this first beer in a sequentially released series designed for an eleven-part vertical tasting. Which helps explain why at one time a bottle could change hands on eBay for more than $1,200. Boasting impressive high notes of citrus, spicy hops and honey, this bumped-up Belgian-style wit was a rare start to an epic series of firsts. The Encore edition of Stone 02.02.02 Vertical Epic Ale has started arriving in 22oz bottles and on draft.
