From the beginning, we've aspired to craft our beloved and award-winning beers in a socially and environmentally responsible way. Because of this, we are honored to receive the Gold level Encouraging Environmental Excellence (E3) Award by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
.
In a press release from the Ohio EPA, GLBC was recognized for cutting energy use by 6 percent per year, decreasing water usage by 5 percent per year, and for purchasing more than 30 percent of feed stock from local food sources, which pumped $1.4 million into the local economy.
We are honored to accept the E3 Award and would like to thank the Ohio EPA for this wonderful recognition. We are committed to discovering, creating, and implementing innovative strategies that will allow us to brew our passion in a responsible, sustainable way.
