TRiNiTY Brewing Adding North Carolina Distribution

Raleigh, NC -- Mims Distributing Company, a leading wholesale beverage distributor in North Carolina, has added TRiNiTY Brewing to its portfolio of brewery partners. Based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, the brewery opened in 2008 and is known for its “artisanal beer”—including the Seven Day Golden Sour, One Ear saison and Elektrick Cukumbahh saison.

In addition to brewing award winning barrel-aged sours, harvest saisons, and provocative beers, TRiNiTY actively reduces its carbon impact on the environment, a value that Mims Distributing Company respects highly. TRiNITY built its pub from nearly 100 percent recycled materials, and several of its beers are produced in large, wooden barrels that previously were previously used to age wines or spirits. The brewers and staff personally recycle nearly all the glass, plastic and metal waste the brewery produces, and the food compost and spent grain is donated to a local Colorado farm for re-use.

Mims Distributing shares in TRiNiTY’s passion to be sustainable. With one of the biggest independent solar panel systems that produces 38 percent of the facility’s power, two bio retention ponds, and motion activated lighting, Mims actively works to offset the energy and waste its facility creates and each employee is dedicated to recycling. A partnership between two organizations with such shared passions is a logical step.

TRiNiTY has several notable awards for its brews, including Silver Medals from the Festival of Barrel Aged Beer for its 365 Day Sour in 2014 and Red Swingline in 2014 and 2015. The Great American Beer Festival also awarded a Gold Medal in 2013 to Elektrick Cukumbahh.

The brewery’s artisanal beer will be available in North Carolina beginning early August. For more information on TRiNiTY Brewing, visit http://www.trinitybrew.com.

“Being able to bring brews to challenge North Carolina’s pallet is a delight for TRiNiTY,” said Jason Yester, president of TRiNiTY Brewing. “We know Mims Distributing takes care of its partners and their products, and seeing its success with sours reinforces our decision to partner with Mims.”

“We are pleased to welcome TRiNiTY to the Mims family,” said Jeff Mims, CMO of Mims Distributing Co. “We are seeing some fantastic brews come out of TRiNiTY, & we know North Carolina beer drinkers will really enjoy these exciting beers. TRiNiTY’s love of beer paired with the company’s dedication to the environment makes the brewery an excellent partner for us; we look forward to supporting them as we introduce these brews to the market.”
