President and Founder of Sierra Nevada , Ken Grossman, announced today that Jeff White has been named the company’s first Chief Operating Officer. White joined Sierra Nevada in 2013, as the Systems Integration Director. White’s responsibilities at Sierra Nevada have evolved over time and COO is a better reflection of his role.

Grossman said, “With Jeff as COO, some of my time will be freed up to focus on the areas of the business that I’m passionate about. He’s also charged with bringing our organizational design and development to life. Our Leadership Team has been working on organizational design for some time, and with Jeff at the helm we’ll be able to make great strides forward.”

White has more than 30 years of experience in the brewing industry. He joined Sierra Nevada after a stint at MillerCoors’s Tenth and Blake Beer Company. Before that, he was with Boston Beer Company for 17 years, where he also held the COO title. Jeff called being made COO at Sierra Nevada “an honor, a privilege, and dream come true.” He said, “I was very excited to come work at Sierra Nevada after having admired the company for a long time. Since joining, the people, products and culture have exceeded my already lofty expectations. It’s been an incredible ride these last three years and I look forward to many more at this exciting period in the company’s development.”
