During the Month of September, $10 of Every Ninkasi Keg Sold in Roseburg and Surrounding Areas Goes to Douglas County Professional Firefighters Local 2091 in Support of The Treven Anspach Memorial Fund

EUGENE, OR.—Aug. 30, 2016—Ninkasi Brewing Company teams up with Oregon wholesale partner, Bigfoot Beverages to offer a month-long give-back program in support of the Douglas County Professional Firefighters, called “Funds for Firefighters.” For every Ninkasi keg sold in Roseburg and surrounding areas during the month of September, ten dollars will be donated to support the Douglas County Professional Firefighters and The Treven Anspach Memorial Fund, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. At the end of the month, Bigfoot Beverages will match the final donation, doubling the program’s contribution.

“In an effort to show our support for the community of Roseburg, Ninkasi is thrilled to be activating a program with the Douglas County Professional Firefighters,” explains Ninkasi northwest sales manager Ryan Deiro. “Our goal is to create a ripple of positivity that compliments the craft beer industry all the while supporting local businesses in the community & generating a donation to be directed to Treven’s Fund.”

"The Firefighters of Local 2091 are truly thankful to Ninkasi and Bigfoot Beverages for their support of the Fire Service and the people we serve," says Tom Spelgatti, vice president of Douglas County Professional Firefighters. “Proceeds from beer sales will go to Treven’s Fund, which will support the ongoing scholarship program. Scholarships from this fund are awarded to students who are furthering their education in the area of First Response such as Fire Science, Law Enforcement, and Paramedicine.”

"Bigfoot Beverages is proud to work with Ninkasi, the Douglas County Professional Firefighters, and the Treven’s Fund to help with this fundraiser,” adds Tommy Jose, craft beer manager for Bigfoot Beverages in Roseburg and surrounding areas. “Anything we can do to give back to the community, we are on board."

To take part in the program, beer drinkers are encouraged to order Ninkasi on-tap during the month of September throughout the Roseburg area. Locations that serve Ninkasi can be found by visiting: http://www.ninkasibrewing.com/delicious/beer-finder.html.
